This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the e-ISIN website uses, for what purposes, and how you can give, change or withdraw your consent. It applies to this website only. The e-ISIN application has its own Privacy Policy.
Who is responsible
The website is operated by e-ISIN Ltd, a company registered with Companies House, England and Wales, which is the controller of the personal data processed through cookies and similar technologies on this website. Contact: Contact form.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include scripts, pixels and tags that read or store information on your device, and storage in your browser such as session storage. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.
Categories of cookies
- Necessary – needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choice. They are always active and cannot be switched off.
- Statistics – help us understand how visitors use the website (Google Analytics 4). Used only with your consent.
- Marketing – measure the results of our advertising and show our adverts to people who have visited the website (Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel). Used only with your consent.
We do not use preference cookies. The full list of cookies with their provider, purpose and duration is in the cookie declaration below; it is kept up to date by our consent tool.
Your consent
When you first visit the website, a consent banner (Cookiebot, provided by Usercentrics A/S) asks for your choice. Until you consent, statistics and marketing cookies are not set. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; the withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. Your consent decision is recorded by Cookiebot so that we can show that it was given.
How measurement works on this website
- All measurement and advertising tags are managed in one tool, Google Tag Manager. Each tag runs only if you have given consent to its category.
- We use Google Consent Mode. Before your choice, all statistics and marketing purposes are set to “denied”. In this setting Google tags may send Google basic signals without cookies, such as that a page was viewed, the time and the type of browser; they do not store or read cookies on your device and Google uses them only in aggregated, modelled form.
- We do not send names, e-mail addresses or the text of messages to measurement or advertising providers.
- When you click a link to the e-ISIN application, the campaign parameters of the page you arrived on (for example utm_source) are added to the link; they describe the campaign, not you. Advertising click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, li_fat_id) are added only with marketing consent. Campaign parameters are kept in your browser for the current session only with statistics or marketing consent.
Providers and transfers
- Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, USA) – Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads.
- LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company) – LinkedIn Insight Tag.
- Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) – Meta Pixel.
- Usercentrics A/S (Denmark) – Cookiebot consent banner and consent records.
For the collection and transmission of data through the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Meta Pixel, e-ISIN Ltd and the provider may be joint controllers; any further processing is carried out by the provider as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Google, LinkedIn and Meta may process data in the United States. Such transfers are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the provider is certified, and otherwise on Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis
Necessary cookies are used because they are strictly necessary to provide the website you requested and on the basis of our legitimate interests in a working and secure website. Statistics and marketing cookies, and the related processing of personal data, are based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR and, where applicable, of the EU GDPR, together with the rules on storing information on devices, such as the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the EU ePrivacy rules).
How long data is kept
Each cookie is kept for the period shown in the cookie declaration below. Measurement data in Google Analytics is kept for no longer than 14 months. Your consent decision is kept for no longer than 12 months; after that you will be asked again.
Your rights
You have the rights described in the Privacy Policy of e-ISIN Ltd, in particular the right of access, erasure and objection and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office). To exercise them, use the contact form.
Changes and language
We update this policy when the tools on the website change; the current version is always on this page. The English version is binding; translations are provided for convenience.
